Spending The Day In East Walnut Hills Might Look A Little Something Like This

East Walnut Hills has a lot to offer. Beautiful architecture, delicious food, great shopping... it's an all-inclusive neighborhood filled with fun. And luckily for you, we came up with a handy little walking guide to get you exploring one of Cincy's finest corners.

Let's begin!

MORNING

  • O Pie O
    1527 Madison Road

Start the day with a slice of pie and drinks (truly the best of both worlds) for brunch. O Pie O makes award-winning sweet and savory pies using the best seasonal ingredients.

  • Hi- Bred
    2807 Woodburn Avenue

This vintage store will take you back to yesteryear. The clothes are major throwbacks, and fashion repeats itself, so you just might find today’s biggest fashion trend inside. Side note: There is a door man, or, rather, dog eager to greet and give you fashion advice, so you're in good hands paws.

LUNCH

  • Woodburn Brewery
    2800 Woodburn Avenue

Located in a building that dates back to the early 1900s, Woodburn Brewery has a wide selection of brews, plus small dishes from Mazunte Taqueria in its taproom! It’s the perfect place for a post-morning bite to hold you through the rest of the afternoon.

AFTERNOON

  • Art Exhibit at Manifest Gallery
    2727 Woodburn Avenue

Manifest Gallery houses four gallery rooms and in-house resident artists. The current “Kentucky Regional” gallery showcases the work of artists from the Tri-state. Check Manifest’s website for updates on exhibitions.

  • Your Friends & Neighbors
    2803 Woodburn Avenue

Your Friends & Neighbors is an eclectic art and home goods shop. Located inside of the Leftcoast Modern annex on Woodburn Avenue, YF&N offers assorted cards, soaps, paintings, prints, bowls, jars, and more from both local and non-local artisans. You never know what you'll find there either.

DINNER

  • Mardi Gras on Madison
    1524 Madison Road

Sober up with some traditional Cajun food in a New Orleans-inspired restaurant. We said you’d stay in East Walnut Hills all day, but we lied. This food is going to transport you straight to Louisiana. Po' boys, jambalaya, fried catfish, and collard greens are you drooling yet?

POST-DINNER JAUNT

  • Work off dinner with a walk around the neighborhood. Once you see the the lovely historic homes and nice parks that fill East Walnut Hills, you'll want to slow things down a bit and enjoy the views. Owls Nest Park and Annwood Park are great recharging spots as you gear up for the finale: dessert!

DESSERT

  • Myrtle's Punch House
    2733 Woodburn Avenue

This is, perhaps, better known as adult dessert. Myrtle’s offers up a big ol’ bowl of alcoholic punch, and we’re not talking about the kind of punch that was spiked at your high school prom, either. We're talking about grade A, quality punch. Finish out your East Walnut Hills adventure the sweetest way imaginable!
