Are you looking for your next fun night out? Enjoy a night of music while supporting childhood cancer research when you attend the CancerFree KIDS Celebration of Champions on Sept. 30 at MegaCorp Pavilion at Ovation.
The Celebration of Champions, presented by altafiber and CBTS, is back in person. This year the evening features a concert to celebrate CancerFree KIDS' 20th anniversary! The concert begins at 8 p.m., but doors open at 7 p.m.
CancerFree KIDS exists to eradicate cancer as a life-threatening disease in children by funding promising research that might otherwise go unfunded. Because childhood cancer research is critically underfunded, this often leaves treatment options limited and unsafe for kids. CancerFree KIDS invests in innovative childhood cancer research in its early stages to find gentler and more effective treatments for childhood cancer.
"We're very excited about it," said Jill Brinck, Executive Director of CancerFree KIDS. "This is the first time we’re doing this event in person after two years of virtual celebrations. It's called the Celebration of Champions, and that's exactly what it is. It's a celebration of all of our kiddos who are currently in their battle, those who are in survivorship, and of course recognizing those who went through the battle but a cure didn't come soon enough."
Here’s what to know about attending this year’s can’t-miss event:
