What was once Norwood’s United States Playing Card Company factory is now reimagined as Factory 52: a brand-new 20-acre lifestyle destination where you can dine, shop, work, play, explore, and so much more in one of the coolest spots in town.
For food and drinks, there’s Hi-Wire and Fretboard Breweries, Jeni’s Ice Cream, and Gatherall, a 14-stall food hall. Aces Pickleball + Kitchen has five indoor courts and six illuminated outdoor courts, plus a great menu of locally sourced foods. They also have a dog park, firepits, cornhole, ping-pong and other yard games.
Need some retail therapy? Several boutiques are opening up shop here at Factory 52. Right now there’s a women’s and kids boutique, high-end watch retailer, as well as a salon and spa, cycling studio, with more coming soon.
There’s also a performance stage and huge greenspace where you can catch live music performances, movies on the lawn, and outdoor shopping events like the City Flea vintage market on Sept 30.
And if you want to live in the center of all this action, Factory 52 has luxury condos ranging from studio to three bedroom. When the project is complete, there will also be a hotel, a large family park, office building, and more.
Tons of free parking, as much of the old factory was transformed into a three-story parking garage. The original clock tower and smokestack were restored and now pay homage to the factory’s 100-year history in Norwood.
