Milk and Beans Kid-Friendly Coffee Shop in NKY

A hot cup of coffee. A healthy meal. A great conversation with another adult. These are a few things that rarely happen when I'm with my three young kiddos.

That is, until I found Milk and Beans, a kid-friendly coffee shop in Crescent Springs. This place, which feels plucked right out of Mom Life Heaven, features a full espresso bar, with pastries and healthy meals for children and adults using locally-sourced quality ingredients.

Sounds amazing, right? It gets better: There's a kid-friendly zone where kids can play. One area is for non-walkers with baby-safe toys and soft places to land for those little cruisers. The other area is more for preschool and a bit older, depending on the child (my seven year old still loves it). They have lots of toys, books, dress up clothes, and a play kitchen/laundry room/store to keep the kids busy for hours.

Two local moms, Natalia Quijano and Paola Monzon, created the concept because they knew how well a kid-friendly coffee shop would go over with local parents. I love how everything is so thoughtfully designed. Like the divider around the kids area is clear, so you can see what your child is up to without needing to get up. So smart.

They also have a playroom monitor on staff who checks temperatures of all the kids who come in the play area, and keeps everything organized and sanitized in the play area. They do charge a small fee for playroom access. It's $6.50 for a one-time visit, or you can buy a 10x or 20x play pass for a discounted rate. But with it being the cleanest most organized play place we've been to, it's well worth it in my book.

They also have free wifi, so some parents come to get a little work done while their kids play. You can meet other parents there and chat while your kids play. I personally enjoy going and letting the kids play while I enjoy a latte, avocado toast and a good book. It's just nice having a place where we can all be together but also do our own things.

You can also rent out their event room, or the whole venue for a semi private or private party. They have several party packages starting at only $50, so you just pick one and they take care of the rest. They can decorate, cater, do party favors, set up and clean up.

Milk and Beans also hosts their own events. Ranging from Zumbini, Music, Book Readings, and Yoga classes to infant safety and sleep training classes, they have several events a month. Check out their events page to see what's coming up.

They're located at 574 Buttermilk Pike Crescent Springs, KY 41017. To learn more, visit here, email milkandbeans@outlook.com or call (859) 360-0257. You can also follow along on Facebook and Instagram.
