They say "dance like no one is watching," right? Well, with the dark room, pumpin' dance music and positive vibes flowing, that's exactly what AKT is all about.
AKT is a dance-based cardio concept, offering a unique combination of four modalities: Dance, Bands, Circuit and Tone. With new original programming created every three weeks and the belief that movement has a powerful, lasting impact, AKT is for all body types and fitness levels. The four different class modalities are a mix of low rep/high weight to improve muscular strength, and high rep/low weight to improve muscular endurance.
Each class stays the same for three weeks, so you can improve and get better at what you’re working on. Then, they change it up to prevent plateauing. At AKT, they like to take a personal training approach to group fitness, so that you feel inspired and motivated the entire class, and can reach your fitness goals.
Touted amongst some of the "fittest" influencers like Kelly Ripa, Alicia Keys and Shakira, AKT gives members the chance to dance, sweat and get stronger while surrounded by a strong sense of community, motivation and electric energy.
The AKT Mason location opened in Summer 2020 and AKT Liberty is opening May 3 (free intro classes before then if you sign up with their Founding Membership special). Founders Membership offer is 20% off unlimited classes for life. Original price is $189 per month and 20% off is $152. They’re hosting Open House events at both locations coming up, so you can check it out for yourself: click for AKT Mason event or AKT Liberty event. Learn more about Mason here and Libery here.
One of the best things you can do for your body is to just stretch it out! Stretching can help improve sports performance, increase range of motion and reduce muscle and joint pain, as well as decrease stress, increase energy, prevent injuries, improve your posture, and so much more.
At StretchLab, you get a one-on-one assisted stretch from a certified Flexologist. Whether you are an elite athlete or a desk jockey - StretchLab can be a game changer.
How is this different than stretching yourself at home? You start off at a body scanner. It gives a full read-out of your mobility, muscle activation, posture and symmetry to pinpoint individual needs and monitor progress. Then, you get a customized one-on-one assisted stretch session by a certified flexologist who's trained to make sure you have the best form and stretch possible.
At StretchLab, you can either pay a drop-in fee or sign up for a membership, featuring options for four or eight visits per month. One-on-one sessions available.
StretchLab Mason is located in the Deerfield Towne Center at StretchLab Mason 5015 Deerfield Blvd, Mason, OH 45040. And the new StretchLab Kenwood is coming soon to 7731 Kenwood Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236. Learn more here.
