The Cincinnati International Wine Festival is back for its 31st year May 19-21 on the main floor of the Duke Energy Center! As part of its mission of "giving back one glass at a time," it's full of fun and fundraising events for all wine lovers, aspiring and veterans alike.
"The Cincy Wine Fest is a delightful weekend of spectacular wine from around the world all in one place, one weekend only, and all for a great cause," says board member Mary Horn. "From the intrigued beginner to the wine connoisseur, there is truly something for everyone at the wine festival."
The return of the festival is a highly anticipated return following two years of postponements and cancellations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees to the event will enjoy a fun and luxurious weekend thanks to a winery dinner series held at fine dining restaurants around the city followed by tastings of 700 different wines from 100 wineries from around the world, a silent auction, a photo booth, small bites, and more! Plus, a charity auction and luncheon is scheduled for the Saturday of the festival.
Those who purchase grand tasting tickets can also opt for exclusive access to a collectors tasting room featuring rare and high-end wines. Proceeds from the event benefit the more than 30 Greater Cincinnati arts, education, and health and human services charity partners. And the wine festival itself is a non-profit organization.
"The Cincinnati International Wine Festival is back and better than ever this year. Perfect for a date night or night out with friends," says Horn. "It's a chance to try something new, talk to winemakers, and hang out with people you haven't seen - so go out and have a good time, and do it all for charity."
The schedule of events includes:
May 19 - Winery Dinner Series
May 20-21 - Grand Tastings
