With today being National Wine Day and Memorial Day fast approaching, we've created a refreshing white sangria that will be perfect for sipping all summer long. This recipe is quick and easy, whether you make it by the glass or mix up an entire pitcher.
For a single serving, place one cube each of Lavender Peach and Blueberry Lemon Basil Mixicles (both found in the Curated Collection sold at Kroger stores) in a glass and top the cubes with chilled Pinot Grigio or another crisp white wine. Add some fresh blueberries and sliced peaches to the glass, as well as a splash of brandy or peach schnapps, if you'd like. Then top it all off with something bubbly like Prosecco, club soda, or ginger ale.
If you’re having people over this weekend, or simply looking forward to a leisurely sangria-sipping afternoon on the patio, combine 4 cubes of each flavor and half a bottle of white wine in a pitcher. Add the fresh fruit and, if desired, the brandy or schnapps. Stir and refrigerate a few hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend. When ready to serve, pour the sangria over ice and top with your choice of bubbly.
- 1 Lavender Peach Mixicles cube
- 1 Blueberry Lemon Basil Mixicles cube
- 1/2 oz. brandy or peach schnapps (optional)
- Pinot Grigio or other dry white wine, chilled
- Prosecco, club soda, or ginger ale
- Fresh blueberries and peach slices
How to Mix (single serving): Add the Mixicles cubes, fruit, and brandy or schnapps to a wine glass. Stir well. Add ice and stir again. If desired, top off with sparkling wine, club soda, or ginger ale. Garnish with a peach wedge. Enjoy!
