New Riff's Releasing a 15-Year-Old Bourbon Whiskey & All Profits Will Be Donated

Winter isn't long for our area. The coming of spring promises warmer weather, blooming flowers, and a limited supply of 15-year-old straight bourbon whiskey from New Riff Distilling in Newport.

Known as the New Riff Relief 15 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey, you'll be able to find and buy it only at New Riff itself, located next to Party Source at 24 Distillery Way (41073). The Aquifer, the taproom inside the distillery, will have single pours for those who want a taste of the good stuff. Because of the exclusivity of this particular bourbon, a bottle will set you back $200 and will go on sale starting Thursday, March 4.

So why's this notable? Excellent bourbon whiskey aside, New Riff is going to donate the profits of every bottle sold to relief funds for bar, restaurant, and service industry workers in both NKY and Cincinnati. That money will go to the Ohio Restaurant Employee Relief Fund and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, who will then distribute the funds directly to industry workers impacted by the ongoing pandemic. The funds raised will be split between both agencies.

In other words, New Riff is using bourbon whiskey from 2006—when iPods were king, Facebook opened to everyone without a college email address, and That '70s Show was still on the air—to directly help the community in 2021.
