Here's your chance to order Thanksgiving pies while helping in-need senior citizens

This year, you can give back to the community while ordering your Thanksgiving dessert staples.

With the "Bust a Crust!" fundraiser, you can purchase delicious pies for your Thanksgiving dinner, while providing food, companionship and a whole lot more to 7,000 area seniors throughout the entire holiday season. The pies are donated by presenting sponsor, Sara Lee, as well as numerous local "Pie Master" bakeries.

Organized by Meals on Wheels Southwest Ohio & Northern Kentucky, Bust a Crust! enables you to easily purchase your Thanksgiving desserts. With each purchase, you’re providing meals and care to local seniors.

“Bust a Crust is a win-win for everyone,” says Jennifer Steele, CEO of Meals on Wheels. “You get a delicious Thanksgiving dessert without the stress, and thousands of local seniors get the food and services they need to stay in their homes.”

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Enjoy a wide selection of desserts. Bust a Crust! will have a legendary selection of pumpkin, apple, pecan and sweet potato pies donated by presenting sponsor, Sara Lee. They also have gluten-free pumpkin pies available.
  • Order easily, pick up without stress. Between Oct. 15 and Nov. 11, you can easily order your pies online through the Bust a Crust! website. Pies will be available for pickup on Nov. 19 at Xavier University Alumni Center, located at 1507 Dana Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45207. Pies that are not picked up on Nov. 19 will be donated to a senior. To order 20 or more pies and get bulk pricing, contact bustacrust@muchmorethanameal.org or 513-661-2777.
