Feast by Metropole

There’s a new way to get - and give - the yumminess of an acclaimed local restaurant from the comfort of home thanks to 21c Museum Hotel’s Metropole restaurant.

Executive Chef Vanessa Miller, who came on board in 2020, launched Feast by Metropole, a tasty new offering designed to bring people together through food.

“We aim to bring an experience built around the act of cooking and eating and sharing the results with the people you care about,” she explains.

Feast recently released its latest menu and list of upcoming experiences. Offerings include: holiday/special occasion meal kits, Weekly Feasts, cooking classes, and chef-selected boxed ingredients.

  • The Weekly Feasts are fully cooked meals that just need some reheating.
  • The Christmas Feast is all about giving you time with the ones you love most. This includes everything you need for a full holiday meal. You get to choose from red wine braised short ribs, smoked pork loin, or roasted turkey.
  • Christmas Feast comes with the option to feed 2-4 people or 6-10 people. All of the sides and extras are available a la carte so if you need to add more, you can. Wine is also available for purchase.

“Meals are available for pick-up December 23 or 24, and come fully cooked and refrigerated with reheat instructions so you can enjoy it when you’re ready,” says Miller. “Reheat time takes between 30 and 45 minutes, so you’ll be able to spend more time with family and friends instead of cooking.”

You can also purchase a New Years Eve Feast, which includes everything you need to celebrate the new year from the comfort of your own home. This box is a high-end meal without the pretense of a night out in the city.

“With this, you can welcome in the new year with a bit of sophistication without leaving the house with the Champagne Wishes + Caviar Dreams Feast,” Miller explains. “This feast is all about treating yourself with the highest of class, because there’s never a wrong time to drink champagne or a wrong time to eat caviar.”

Additionally, “Needs More Salt” cooking classes and Farm to Fridge CSA boxes are available.

“Needs More Salt” cooking classes take you on a guided lesson from Chef Vanissa, who helps you prep an entire meal for two. “You’ll learn the hows and whys of cooking so you can confidently use them moving forward,” she says. “All classes include a supply box and, if you join the Wine Club, you’ll also receive one of Chef’s favorite wines to pair with the meal.”

The “Needs More Salt” cooking classes are offered monthly and are announced on a rolling basis three months in advance.

Miller’s love for seasonal ingredients with bright flavors and local sources is what drew her to Metropole. A Cincinnati native, she worked 14 years working throughout the Northeast and New York City, where she opened The Dalloway in SoHo and became the youngest female Executive Chef in the city at the age of 24.

“I’ve been watching as Cincinnati’s food scene has developed over time, especially the last five years,” says Miller. “This is a pivotal time in the restaurant industry, and I am thrilled to be here surrounded by this innovative community of chefs. My team and I are looking at new ways we can nourish our guests, whether that’s with us in the dining room or through an experience they can have in their own homes.”

Metropole is located at 609 Walnut Street in Cincinnati. Learn more about Feast by Metropole at https://www.feastbymetropole.com. To give the gift of Feast this holiday season, check out these meal offerings at https://www.feastbymetropole.com/gift-of-feast.
