This Local Home Improver Only Uses Eco-Friendly Materials

If you’re building or remodeling your home, and you want to do it in a greener way, you might find it to be a challenge. That’s why Cincinnati is so lucky to have Greener Stock—a home improvement store that sources building materials that are stylish, functional, and most importantly, eco-friendly.

Greener Stock was started by local architect Heather Estridge. She realized that not many green building and finishing materials were readily available locally, so she stepped up to do something about it. The company has been wildly successful and celebrated 10 years of business in January of 2020. When you look at the spaces designed using their products, it is easy to see why—they are beautiful.

Going green does not have to mean being boring or bland, and eco-friendly materials are just as striking and sturdy as those that are not. If you can get the same beautiful designs while being less harmful to the earth, why wouldn’t you? Now more than ever, it is critical to do everything we can for our environment.

Greener Stock sources materials that are recycled or reclaimed and locally produced. From cabinets to wall coverings, they can find the perfect products to design your home in style while minimizing the impact to the environment. In 2019, they added residential project management services to their business to help owners and contractors during the building process.

They’ve provided the project materials and management behind some of the most gorgeous spaces around the Queen City, including full houses, kitchens, baths, offices, and restaurants. Greener Stock has also helped to create one of the area’s largest urban LEED for Homes developments in Pendleton. It features five LEED Platinum and five LEED Gold rated townhomes. Two more are currently under construction.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a building certification program that’s dedicated to meeting greener home standards that are more efficient with resources like water, energy, and the air quality of a home to lower environmental impacts.

Whatever your style is, Greener Stock has the stuff you need to make your vision a reality.
