The Tri-State Antique Market is opening for its first show of 2021 on May 2 at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds with one of the best selections its ever had.
The event, which is known as Indiana’s largest antiques and vintage only market, is a hot destination for collectors, home decorators, and renovators on the hunt for treasure.
“During a typical year the event features an ever changing line up of 200+ vendors selling a wide array of antique, vintage and retro merchandise from a variety of time periods and price points at a series of six dates held the first Sunday of each month through October,” says event coordinator Aaron Metzger.
However, the world is anything but typical anymore, and after the COVID pandemic shuttered many events and limited capacity at outdoor settings like the Tri-State Antique Market, many buyers and sellers are looking forward to a prosperous 2021.
“One of the unintended consequences of 2020 was an increase of free time for cleaning and home improvement projects, which resulted in an influx of quality merchandise at the Market,” says Metzger. “Many such projects continued through the winter with the anticipation that 2021 may be one of the best in recent years for availability of rare and collectible antique merchandise.”
The 2021 Market will continue with safety protocols in place and adherence to social distancing guidelines.
The Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds is a five-acre facility located in southeast Indiana, one mile west of exit 16 off I-275. According to Metzger, the market features quaint, country charm complete with shaded groves and large, open-air pavilions. Additionally, the ... Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds offers paved walkways, free parking, and food vendors.
The Tri-State Antique Market is open from 7am-3pm. Early bird shoppers are admitted during vendor set-up at 6am. A walk-in $4 adult admission is charged at all times And since more than half of the Market’s vendors display indoors or under cover, the event is held rain or shine.
