An exciting escape room challenge, called "Escape the Village," is coming again soon to Heritage Village Museum in Sharonville.
On Jul. 15, Aug. 19, and Sept. 16, you can choose between two escape room themes — "Leaving the Station" and "Morgan's Raiders of the Lost Art" — both offering experiences set in an authentic historic building containing 19th century artifacts.
"You don't have to know anything about local history to complete this challenge, but you might learn something along the way," says Bethany Jewell, Heritage Village Museum Marketing Director.
The “Leaving the Station” themed escape takes place inside the Chester Park Train Station. “This escape room is based on the first train robbery in the United States which took place in North Bend, OH on May 5, 1865,” Jewell shares. “Follow the clues left by our station agent to get into the office and telegraph for help before it’s too late!”
The “Morgan’s Raiders of the Lost Art” themed escape is based on Gen. John Hunt Morgan and his men’s Confederate art heist raid of our area in July 1863. “The raiders could not carry it all, so they stashed it in our General Store and left clues to find it later,” Jewell says. “Can you find the art before the raiders come back to claim it?”
There are three time slots available to book during each date: Noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Each session can accommodate four to eight people. Admission is $25 per person and you can book your Escape the Village session on their website HeritageVillageCincinnati.org.
