Handmade, Plant-Based Buff City Soap Bubbles Up in Newport

New Buff City Soap shops have been popping up all over town over the past couple years, and the newest one just bubbled up in Newport.

They specialize in handmade, plant-based, cruelty-free soap and body products that you can buy ready-made or you can make your own. Free from animal fats and harsh chemicals, the products offered by Buff City Soap are made on a daily basis, and this new location in Newport is the fourth now open in Greater Cincinnati.

Like the idea of customizing your own bath, body or laundry products? Buff City Soap allows customers to choose ingredients and make your own without the fuss. “Customers select their ingredients and watch their personalized soaps, bath bombs, body butter, laundry soap, and other products be made right in front of them,” says District Manager Ellie Walls.

With multiple stores in the region, Buff City Soap is giving customers more than 30 unique and customizable scents across dozens of handcrafted soap products, allowing you to try something new with each visit.

There are tons of products that can be made at Buff City Soap including: liquid soaps, bar soaps, soap whip, bath bombs, bath truffles, shower fizzies, Epsom salts, shampoo bars, whipped body butter, body scrubs, and lotion bars.

Favorites made by customers who visit Buff City Soap include shower oils, shave bars, and beard care products.

No matter what scents you prefer, Buff City Soap has plenty. Ingredients for products at Buff City Soap include rosewater, beeswax, green tree extract, sea clay, activated charcoal, epsom salt, lavender buds, rose petals, avocado oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, palm oil, argan oil, essential oils, and so much more.

“We also offer the opportunity for our customers to go plant-based in the laundry room with our line of laundry soap,” says Walls. “Laundry soap can be customized with your favorite scents, along with wool dryer bars for an all-natural and scent-filled laundry experience.”
