The Pop-Up BNB is a glamping experience that features traveling tents hosting guests at various sites. The heavy-duty canvas tents are mobile and set up for guests in advance, and are furnished to make each stay as cozy as possible. They have reserved a few sites at Hidden Lake Farm in Cynthiana, KY (pictured in this gallery), which will be available to rent through September 23, 2020. It’s also equipped with gear such as trash bags, biodegradable toilet paper, a first aid kit, lanterns, a fire pit, and more. Guests can also customize their experience with add-ons like movie projectors, charging kits, party décor setups, heaters, s’mores, and a variety of food spreads. Hidden Lake Farm is a private property that’s over 200 acres and located just north of Lexington. It features scenic, rolling hills of Kentucky bluegrass and a 16-acre lake. The site is perfect for exploring, hiking, swimming, or boating in one of the complimentary paddle boats or canoes. The campsites are also spaced apart to provide privacy. There is no electricity for campers on the property, and bathrooms are only available by the boat dock and at the entrance of the farm. / Image: Catherine Viox // Published: 9.15.20
Tents can be set up at campsites, private properties, or any desired space that’s flat enough. People can rent one at a time or multiple to create a pop-up tent village for big groups or to provide housing for guests. Check out a calendar of future locations and book your stay on their website, thepop-upbnb.com. / Image: Catherine Viox // Published: 9.15.20
Owners and married couple Kelly & Andy Emilianowicz started their full-service glamping business originally to fund their own travels. In 2017, they sold their belongings and moved into a motorhome (which has been renovated into a modern tiny home) so they could travel full-time. Today, they hope their traveling tents offer an outlet for other people to explore and enjoy new surroundings. / Image: Catherine Viox // Published: 9.15.20
