I open the real estate app on my phone every day to check out what's for sale around town. Eventually, I'd like to own a place of my own. Getting an idea of what you get for which price has become a weird little daily routine.
When something really good is listed in Over-the-Rhine, the sale's pending faster than Senate Pub can name its dog of the day after a cultural event. It serves as a good reminder that once I'm ready to purchase the perfect home, I'll need to be quick about making an offer. The other serious app-checkers already have their engines revved and ready to go.
1430 Main Street didn't pop up on my app, though. I was made aware of it by the listing agent, Seth Maney, who (for the sake of full disclosure) also happens to be a friend of mine. That's not why it's featured here, though. The place speaks for itself.
The single-family home located on Main Street in Over-the-Rhine boasts a litany of features that, in my opinion, make for the perfect abode for any urbanite.

Take a breather. I know that's a lot of good stuff to process. And that's what's included in just the home. For many, location is half of the reason it's such an attractive space.
Liberty's Bar & Bottle, easily one of the best bars in the city, sits across the street. MOTR, Japp's, Aladdin's, Cincy Shirts, the Woodward, the Takeaway, Iris Book Cafe, and other fantastic businesses are a quick walk from its doorstep. And that's just Main Street. The rest of OTR, Downtown, and Pendleton is easily accessible on foot, streetcar, Bird, and bike.
Nicola's is a 2-minute walk off the back patio. After pigging out on a Bolo Monday, you could swap your dress pants for sweatpants after not much more than the 60 steps it'd take to get back to your bedroom to sleep off your pasta coma.
And it's far enough away from the crazy weekend nightlife at 12th and Main without being so far removed that you can't join it if you wanted. The streetcar station at the same corner can get you to Washington Park, Rhinegeist, Findlay Market, and Downtown for $1.
The point is, between the place itself and its location, 1430 Main Street is incredible. It's rare to find a home of its size in a prime location with the number of amenities it has.
I'm not ready to purchase just yet, but if I were an app-checker who had the funds and were ready to race, the checkered flag on 1430 Main Street would be my finish line.
