Threads Boutique celebrated their one year anniversary in Oakley on November 1, 2020. The shop got its start over five years ago as a small boutique in Ft. Thomas, but co-owners Kelly Sherman and Nancy Anost were looking for the perfect spot to open in Cincinnati. They say they truly believe they found that location in Oakley Square.
While the store showcases many local vendors, one of their favorites is Vintage Diva. Exclusively at Threads, Vintage Diva provides intricately made, one-of-a-kind jewelry that all includes some sort of vintage piece that tells its own story. Vintage Diva also creates handmade Christmas decor to brighten the home during the holidays. / Image: Elizabeth A. Lowry // Published: 12.12.20

Co-owners Nancy Anost and Kelley Sherman have been best friends ever since they began working in retail together many years ago. After a lifetime of working in fashion, they finally decided they wanted a brick-and-mortar store of their own. / Image: Elizabeth A. Lowry // Published: 12.12.20

Sherman says what drives them is a love of all things fashion and their desire to affordably style their customers. "We believe this is what sets us apart from other boutiques," Sherman says. "We know that our customers are stepping out feeling confident in new Threads without breaking the bank, and that is the most rewarding feeling." / Image: Elizabeth A. Personal shopping is a strong suit of the shop. To that end, Threads has a team of consultants available for wardrobe styling who are not only talented, but are also fun to work with. "We are simply a team of friends who enjoy brainstorming together to create fun fashion and new ideas for our customers' closets," Sherman says. "Because of the friendly nature of this environment, we often see people who come in as customers and leave as friends." / Image: Elizabeth A. Lowry // Published: 12.12.20
