If a drive-thru tour of animatronic dinosaurs was on your Cincinnati summer bucket list, we’ve got good news. Jurassic Quest is a dinosaur-themed drive-thru experience making a stop at Coney Island from August 21-30.
The touring attraction has already held sold-out appearances at other cities around the country this summer, with over 100,000 cars in attendance since it began in July. It features over 70 life-like dinosaurs, a 50-foot megalodon, and other magnificent creatures that once roamed the earth (or lurked in the depths of the ocean). The replicated animals were designed as realistically as possible with the help of paleontologists collaborating on the project.
Even though guests will stay safe inside their vehicles during the excursion, they’ll still enjoy some interactive features such as dodging the swinging tail of the 80-foot Spinosaurus and receiving visits from “dino trainers” and their baby dinosaurs. Guests will also leave with one free photo per family after braving it through Jurassic Quest.
The safari costs $49 per vehicle with up to nine people per car. The journey lasts about an hour and is guided by an online audio tour that guests can tune in to. Visitors must stay in their cars during the attraction and wear masks while in permitted areas such as the restroom or Dino Store. The Jurassic Quest team will be in masks as well and will be keeping hands, equipment, dinosaurs, and workstations thoroughly sanitized throughout the day.
