128 Lafayette Lane is a 4-bed, 3-bath, 2,084-square-foot Mid-Century Modern house sitting along a private lane in the woods of Clifton. Built in 1956 and designed by Ben Dombar—a pupil of Frank Lloyd Wright—the house is currently on the market for $820,000. Let's take a tour. / Image: Tim Spanagel // Published: 3.21.20
The house has only been owned twice since it was built over 60 years ago. The second and current owner spent time restoring the house to its original blueprint when she purchased it with her late husband in 2001. Many additions were made, including fixing the floor in the foyer. The stone walkway is based on the previous walkway, but extended. Walls were removed to create an open concept layout, which is more in line with MCM design. / Image: Tim Spanagel // Published: 3.21.20

The house features two separate covered patios enclosed by windows. The two patios are joined with a walkway that the current owner added to the home. / Image: Tim Spanagel // Published: 3.21.20
The master bathroom features a shower stall and a separate bathtub. The toilet is behind a door. In total, there are three bathrooms in the house. / Image: Tim Spanagel // Published: 3.21.20

The kitchen's custom cabinetry is the work of Sean Druley. His work can also be found in the laundry room and downstairs in the office. The countertops are Corian, and the kitchen features Bosch appliances with a Whirlpool fridge. / Image: Tim Spanagel // Published: 3.21.20
