Spring Grove Cemetery isn’t just a really, really beautiful place (although as you can see it very much is that too). It’s also a place to satisfy that niggling desire to give back this holiday season. (Oh, is that what that is? Yep.)
Spring Grove’s Giving Tree is back, continuing its yearly streak of bringing people together to provide much needed items for great causes. This year, the gifts benefit Caracole, a Cincinnati nonprofit offering affordable housing and case management for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.
You can find the Spring Grove’s Giving Tree in the Gazebo, located in the Rose Garden to the left of the main entrance. But you’d better hurry, because the last day you can give gifts is tomorrow, December 13!
The list of items isn’t exactly daunting: household cleaners, brooms, mops, children’s toys, laundry detergent, shampoo, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, oral care, hygiene products, and blankets.
So if you’ve been itching to give back this holiday season, but you haven’t yet found a cause near and dear to your heart, consider going on a Target safari and dropping off a bit of your bounty at Spring Grove’s Giving Tree.
'Cause remember, the secret to living is giving.
Spring Grove Cemetery is located at 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45232. Visit their website for more information.
