It’s a gorgeous Saturday morning. You’ve dusted off your bike and decided to take her out for a leisurely spin. Over the river and through the woods you go. But now, you’re hit with a sudden adult urge. “Coffee! I need coffee!” Yeah, it happens to the best of us.
Well, that’s where Trailhead coffee comes in.
Situated inside the Reser Bicycle Outfitters in Newport, Trailhead is the perfect spot for you to stop and relax — or, grab a quick cup on the go. No matter what you choose, just know that this is some of the best coffee you’ll find in the greater Tri-state. Jason Reser’s team (Jason, being the owner of this outfit) is all about ensuring the highest quality products while sourcing from local purveyors.
The beans come from Wood Burl in Dayton, the milk from Hartzler Family Dairy in Wooster, and the food from favorites like Lil’s Bagels, Sixteen Bricks Bakery, and Holtman’s Donuts. Oh, and did I mention they offer not only drip coffee, but also pour-over and a full espresso bar? Yeah buddy.
THE BEST SELLERS
Sure, you’ve got your classics, like a perfectly balanced cappuccino or a mocha crafted from house-made chocolate ganache. But if you wanna venture out, try the Brownpow, a stronger Americano which pairs five ounces of water to two ounces of espresso. Or, there’s the Cafe Miel, a latte sweetened with local honey and a dash of cinnamon.
THE RIDE-UP WINDOW
It’s just like it sounds. The window itself operates on a pulley system, so during warmer months it converts into outdoor bar seating, where cyclists can ride right up.
Enjoying the weather all while getting your caffeine fix Now that’s the life. And hey, you don’t have to be a cyclist to parkate in the community at Trailhead. This is a come-as-you-are situation, folks.
Now ride, walk, or run on over to the gallery to get a glimpse at what's brewing.
