STAFF: Tiffany Hudson (writer) / FAVORITE SPOT: Le's Pho / ADDRESS: 3 E Court St (45202) / FAVORITE MENU ITEM: Beef Bahn Mi sandwich / WHY SHE LOVES IT: "Sure, pho is in the name of the restaurant, but if you ask me, the Beef Bahn Mi is the way to go. The freshly baked bun and delicious roasted pork topped with pickled carrot, onion, cilantro, and jalapeno is worth more than the $5 they charge for it. It’s easy to miss from the street and seats maybe 15 people, which makes it the perfect quiet spot for a quick lunch downtown." / Image: Tiffany Hudson // Published: 12.31.18

  • FAVORITE SPOT
    Aladdin's Eatery + Lounge
    1203 Main St (45202)

  • FAVORITE MENU ITEM
Red quinoa Lebanese salata and tabouli with pita

  • WHY SHE LOVES IT
"It's not always easy finding vegan options, but Aladdin's has a ton of them. Their food is always fresh and filling. I prefer to grab a quick lunch while seated at the bar. Okay okay, usually the lunch includes a glass of Prosecco too..."

  • FAVORITE SPOT
    Frenchie Fresh
    3831 Edwards Rd (45209)

  • FAVORITE MENU ITEM
    Burger & fries

  • WHY SHE LOVES IT
"Frenchie Fresh is a casual concept with the high standards you’d expect from a Jean-Robert production, but approachable enough for someone looking to grab a quick-yet-quality lunch—and have you seen their grinning French bull dog logo?! When I’m feeling meaty, I opt for one of their delicious burgers, always topped with a cornichon pickle, or sometimes I go for one of their equally delicious veggie options like the bánh mì sandwich with crispy tofu. But the real star of the show is the fresh cut fries, topped with an intoxicating blend of truffle oil and parmesan."

  • FAVORITE SPOT
    Gomez
    107 East 12th Street (45202)

  • FAVORITE MENU ITEM
    The Turtle (burrito)

  • WHY SHE LOVES IT
"Fast food made fresh! Since I shoot on location for most of the day, I need fresh options to pick from when I get a quick lunch break. I always order a Turtle—mixed with layers of flavors inside the burrito, crunchy shell, AND THAT TURTLE SAUCE!"

  • FAVORITE SPOT
    Aroma Restaurant & Sushi
    7875 Montgomery Rd (45236)

  • FAVORITE MENU ITEM
    Jalapeno chicken bento box

  • WHY HE LOVES IT
"Reasonable price for a ton of great food. A little sushi, your choice of side, and your choice of main to go with it. I go with the jalapeno chicken as the main, with a side of spicy mayo, too. Crunchy, salty, with the mayo providing a blast of fatty goodness...delish! I also like the pork Gyoza as a side. The box comes with a wad of rice, too, and that funky little sushi restaurant salad that's so simple and yet, so stupidly good. All told, it's a poignant melody of textures, flavors, and just pure delight. I need to get it on a weekend someday so that I can pair up the perfect beer to go with it too."

  • FAVORITE SPOT
    Kremer's Market
    755 Buttermilk Pike (41017)

  • FAVORITE MENU ITEM
    Buffalo chicken sandwich

  • WHY SHE LOVES IT
"This deli is the epitome of a local, fresh, family-owned marketplace, which might be why everything (literally, everything) on the menu is so delish. When your recipes are still popular after 100 years, you must be doing something right. They have a variety of unique sandwiches listed on their menu, but since they’re a deli after all, you can make whatever kind of lunch you can imagine. I love getting their buffalo chicken on a Servatii Bavarian pretzel bagel with lettuce, cheese, mayo, and a pickle spear on the side. It may look simple, but this level of fresh tastiness is going to make your coworkers very jealous and very hungry."

  • FAVORITE SPOT
    Money Chicken
    300 E 7th St. (45202)

  • FAVORITE MENU ITEM
    Chicken sandwich & fries
  • WHY HE LOVES IT
"At the moment, I keep returning to Money Chicken for lunch. The chicken sandwich has the perfect combination of just a few quality ingredients with seasoning and garnishes that elevate it above what you'd get elsewhere. It's uncomplicated enough to be approachable and refined enough to respect it. Plus, I love sitting in the dining room when the sun is out because the whole place feels warm and comfortable."
