Saundra's Kitchen Is Like Packing Your Lunch (... But Without The Packing)

Imagine this scenario...

You work downtown. The thought of packing your lunch every day is more stress than you can handle. Then again, the thought of eating at another [insert fast-casual restaurant] is enough to make you actually pack your lunch every day. AND, the daily 3 p.m. huddle session with your boss is gonna be impossible to get through if you don't find sustainable fuel for your mind.

Raise your hand if this is you.
Raise your hand if you wish this were you.
Now do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around.

Wait... sorry about that. We're getting off track.

Food. We were talking about food.

So back to that hypothetical scenario. If you work in or around downtown, you likely eat lunch every day (at least, you should try to do so). But naturally, the options start to get tiresome.

That's where Saundra's Kitchen comes in.

What is it?

Saundra's Kitchen is an app-based restaurant. Download the app from the App Store. Order what you want and it's delivered to your (office) door.

When was it founded?

How varied is the menu?

Pretty darn varied. Any given day, there are between 25-30 items from which to choose. There are features, sides, salads, soups, and more.

What's the delivery range?

Downtown, OTR, and Mt. Adams by scooter; but if you're going the catering route, the range is limitless.

What are the most popular items on the menu?

Wrap: City Hall
Salad: Blackened Salmon Caesar
Entree: Texas Enchilada Casserole
Side: Lemon and Roasted Garlic Hummus
Soup: Turkey Chili

Okay, but how is this better than having a regular ol' restaurant deliver?

Just trust us. It is.

Saundra's Kitchen was founded by Trey Borland, Elias Leisring, and Saundra Linn. They use a team of veteran chefs from around the city to create fresh food on the daily. And the delivery team, which you've possibly seen, is getting around the city streets on the flyest of rides (e.g. zero-emissions, battery-operated scooters).
