A St. Bernard Cafe Allows Patrons to Give Back With a Special Donation Tree

I AM Coffee is a quaint St. Bernard spot that not only serves pastries, coffee, espresso-based drinks, and sandwiches but also gives back to the neighborhood. The mission behind owners Ron & Carolyn Spears’ shop involves initiatives that feed members of the community, such as a free meal program for youths in-need and a ‘Give Back Tree’ that patrons can donate towards in a pay-it-forward effort. Carolyn & Ron wanted to make sure young people in the area receive a nutritious meal when they need it, which is why they set up “Lunch Boxes."
