For the grand reopening of the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal in November of 2018, Landor Associates produced 15-minute looping light shows that were projected onto the face of the building for a solid week beginning on Veteran’s Day. The light shows began at dusk and played until 10 PM every night. November 17th, 2018, was the final night they played. / Image: Phil Armstrong // Published: 11.29.18
The nightly shows spanned every subject from trains to dinosaurs to simple, colorful outlines around the edges of the Terminal. Some designs made great use of the building's curvature, giving the Terminal a whole new feel despite it being over 80 years old. Visitors were able to park their cars along the approach to witness the show or park in the lot beside it. / Image: Phil Armstrong // Published: 11.29.18
Each show, while different in subject, had a distinct BLINK-like feel to it. / Image: Phil Armstrong // Published: 11.29.18
