The Best View of Cincinnati Might Be From David Burns' Backyard

Mt. Adams, East Price Hill, Fairview, Devou Park, and Mt. Auburn offer tremendous views of the city's center. On a clear day, those spots are practically magnets for people who want to take it all in. And thankfully, those areas offer public places to facilitate a breathtaking view.

But perhaps one of the best views of the city is on privately-owned land. Unless you know someone who lives on 15th Street in Newport, there's a good chance you've never seen Downtown Cincinnati and the surrounding region from there. And let me tell you—it's a heckuva view, especially at night.

David Burns owns a 1909 craftsman-style house on 15th Street. While he's spent several years sprucing up the interior with Cincinnati art and artifacts and decorating it with attractive furniture, it's the view from his multi-tiered deck that earns his property a well-deserved gasp upon seeing it for the first time.

David searched for the perfect home with a view for years after coming to Cincinnati 30 years ago. It was only within the last several years that he found his current home on 15th Street that he knew he'd finally discovered the dream home he'd been searching for.
