Beginning in 1937, three generations of the Holland family ran Holland Advertising—an award-winning, Cincinnati-based advertising agency. After over 80 years and seeking retirement, the Hollands put the agency up for sale. It was purchased by local Paul Frodge, who had previously spent years in sales and marketing with various radio and television stations. / Image: Phil Armstrong, Cincinnati Refined // Published: 3.22.19

The 4,400-square-foot space is the result of the vision he and Michelle, his wife, dreamed up. They wanted to move from a traditional office space and into an open-concept, creative environment. Working with architect TRA Design, Commercial Construction Group LLC, and Spruce Designs, they created the flexible, modern office they have today. "Creativity is at the heart of everything we do,” says Frodge, “and our new space is designed to inspire. While each employee has a designated workspace, no one is tied to a desk. Everyone is free to move around and work in whatever space feels comfortable to them." / Image: Phil Armstrong, Cincinnati Refined // Published: 3.22.19
There's no formal conference room. The middle space is used for their office meetings and as a collaborative space. Scott Berkley, a carpenter for the Cincinnati Ballet, designed the custom cherry wood table and incorporated the agency's logo into its support structure. The table is a visual focal point of the room. / Image: Phil Armstrong, Cincinnati Refined // Published: 3.22.19
