Alli Robben is the owner behind A Style Breeze—a styling company that offers closet detoxing, personal shopping, and style coaching. She starts out with a consultation with clients to figure out what they’re looking for (a new style, help finding the best clothes, advice on what to purge in their closet, etc.), then alters her services to best suit their needs and budget. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
One of A Style Breeze’s most popular services is the Closet Cleanout. Alli organizes the items inside, color coordinates them, and makes note of what’s missing from the wardrobe. She brings a closet checklist to go through that will ensure you have essentials needed for everything from work outfits to clothing for special occasions. “I think if you have a full wardrobe, no matter what the event that pops up, you should be able to have something you can wear to it,” says Alli. She also helps you part with items that are damaged or simply haven’t be worn in years. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
Once Alli has seen someone’s wardrobe, she has a better idea of their style based on their career and hobbies. Step two is the personal shopping component of her services. Clients join Alli on a shopping trip or have her take care of the excursion solo to find fashion basics that will complete their closet checklist. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
Customers looking for a regular refresher to their wardrobe can sign up for the Breeze Box. They set their own budget and Alli packs a box with personalized clothing and accessories to send right to your door on a monthly basis. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
Clients don’t have to pay for one big clothing haul on the personal shopping outings. Alli points out her suggestions while in the stores, lists out the exact products they should get in the future, and gives it to them so that they can come back later to spread out their purchases without her needing to be with them. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
“There’s this whole trend on minimalism and having a lot of outfits with fewer items. I’d say that’s something that makes me stand out compared to other stylists. I do believe that you don’t need a million items to have a full wardrobe.” -Alli Robben / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
Whether you just got a new job and need your closet to look more corporate or you want an extra pair of eyes to point out what you need to be both trendy and functional, A Style Breeze can be your guide. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
A Style Breeze started out as a fashion blog in 2015 when Alli did an internship in Chicago before graduating with a marketing degree. She later became a stylist and assistant manager in the men’s department at Nordstrom. She’d prep outfits for clients by appointment before meeting them and learning their preferences, which is what Alli really wanted to do. “I wanted [the experience] to be more personalized—get coffee with them first. I wanted to be able to hear their story, hear their lifestyle. All of that is so important because style can be very personal and vulnerable to some people.” She started A Style Breeze in 2018 to make styling men and women a more flexible process while working in her other career in digital marketing. / Image courtesy of Alli Robben // Published: 2.19.20
