A house in Madeira recently hit the market and it is a show-stopper. Even major brands and designers are noticing the home, and you can check it out during its open house on Sunday, March 3 from 12 PM to 2 PM.
The house, located at 7731 Dones Avenue in Madeira and constructed by Legendary Custom Homes, features several custom details. From the seven-piece window and door trim to the inlaid tile lettering in the pub, this home will have guests gawking. Entertaining friends will be a breeze with the custom pub booth and bar in the finished basement. When they leave, you can curl up with a good book in the custom reading nook.
The design of this home has even reached a national level, with big brands taking notice. “It's been shared on Instagram by national designers like Becki Owens and Exteriors of Instagram,” says builder Matt Stanley. “Grandin Road is doing a photo shoot there next month. Ivory Soap and Burts Bees have also done photoshoots at the house.”
The house design also gives a respectful nod to traditional details with additions like built-ins featured throughout. The outside entertaining space with a built in TV and wood-burning fireplace is the perfect spot for enjoying an outdoor summertime movie night or a fall football game.
Although Legendary Custom Homes primarily focuses on new construction, they also do renovations as well. “We buy homes that need work and either build new on the lot or do a major revival and front elevation transformation of the home, making them as close to new as possible.”
Legendary Custom Homes prides themselves on rarely building the same houses twice. The company constructs houses throughout the East side of Cincinnati in Montgomery, Mariemont, Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout, Madeira, Indian Hill and Sycamore Township.
“Almost all of the homes we build are from scratch and unique. We love the creative side of building and the attention to the details of each job. We love traditional architecture and have been complimented by various neighbors in the communities we build in,” says Stanley. “We build in a lot of controversial areas and teardowns are not totally welcome, but we try to keep the character of the neighborhood in mind with each home we build.”
What sets Legendary Custom Homes apart from other builders? They love getting creative within an existing floor plan. “We are different than most builders in that we also do entire home revivals as well. If the home has a great foundation and bones, we will likely keep it and do a major makeover project as well.”
