Betsey Gamble had an idea to turn her passion for shopping and creating outfits into its own business. So, in 2011, she opened Betsey's Boutique Shop in the small town of Rockford, Ohio.
"One day, it dawned on me to figure out how to make shopping and creating outfits a career," she says.
The first brick and mortar location for Betsey's Boutique Shop has led to the opening for six additional stores and three franchise locations. "We also have two mobile boutiques that we take to events like Vintage Market Days," says Gamble.
The large online presence Betsey's Boutique Shop has garnered from its 10 years in business allows them to also cater to customers in all 50 states, and thus far they have shipped more than 500,000 packages to those around the country.
Betsey's Boutique Shop gets its name from Gamble, and she aims to create a chic style and atmosphere for those who shop in her stores.
The farmhouse chic vibe from Betsey’s Boutique Shop hopes to bring together all ages and generations to shop in one place. "We have something for everybody," she says. "We want to make sure you feel as good as you look."
There have been challenges galore in the last year as the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered storefronts and closed businesses for months. Gamble said the last year has been extremely hard and taught her valuable lessons.
"We have learned to slow down and enjoy every moment you can," she says. "We switched gears at Betsey's Boutique Shop to promote online options and are helping customers connect with us."
Current favorite products at Betsey's Boutique Shop right now include the Betsey's Jeggings that they carry exclusively. "They come in a ton of colors and add the perfect pop of color for our spring collection," adds Gamble.
With Vintage Market Days just around the corner, Gamble is looking forward to attending. Betsey's Boutique Shop has participated in more than 30 Vintage Market Days events and enjoys all of them.
"We are so excited for the upcoming Vintage Market Days event," she says. "Spring is a great time for a fresh start. We'll be bringing all new products and hope to see all of our amazing customers."
